1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information processed through the Wedding Point website, customer application, account features, service marketplace, cart, booking, payment confirmation, customer support, and account-deletion process.

By creating an account or using Wedding Point, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it as described below. This policy does not replace any additional notice shown for a specific feature, promotion, payment option, or service provider.

2. Age requirement: 18+ only

Wedding Point is strictly intended for adults aged 18 years and above.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a booking contract to create an account, submit personal information, place a booking, or make a payment through Wedding Point.

We do not knowingly offer customer accounts to, or collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not use the application, create an account, submit a booking, or provide personal information.

If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend the account and delete the associated personal information, subject to information we must retain under applicable law. A parent or legal guardian who believes that a minor has provided information to us may contact support@weddingpoint.in.

3. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on the features you use and may include:

  • Account and identity information: full name, email address, mobile number, profile photograph, account role, and authentication information.
  • Google Sign-In information: when you choose Google Sign-In, Google may provide your name, email address, profile image, and a unique account identifier after you approve access. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Contact and address information: mobile number, optional WhatsApp number, saved address, city, state, PIN code, and event or venue location.
  • Event and booking information: event date, selected time slot, number of guests, selected venue and services, food plate selections, cart and wishlist items, special instructions, booking status, and communications concerning the booking.
  • Payment and transaction information: selected payment method, payable amount, discount, tax, payment status, and a UPI or other transaction reference where provided. Payment providers may separately process information under their own privacy terms.

  • Technical and usage information: device or browser type, IP address, request time, pages or features used, diagnostic information, and security events that our application or hosting infrastructure may generate.

Please provide accurate information and avoid entering sensitive personal information in free-text fields unless it is necessary for your booking or support request.

4. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you register, sign in, update your profile, save an address, browse or shortlist services, build a cart, select availability, complete a booking form, confirm a payment, contact support, or request account deletion.

We may also receive information from Google Sign-In, selected venue or service partners, communications providers, payment or verification providers, and technical service providers when required to operate or secure Wedding Point.

5. Why we use your information

We use personal information only for specified business and service purposes, including to:

  • create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your customer account;
  • display relevant venues and event services and remember your cart, plate, wishlist, and preferences;
  • check availability, calculate prices, discounts and taxes, and process booking requests;
  • share confirmed booking details with the partners responsible for providing the selected services;
  • send password-reset links, booking updates, service communications, and support responses;
  • confirm payment references and maintain booking, transaction, tax, accounting, and dispute records;
  • detect fraud, misuse, duplicate or unauthorised activity, and protect users, partners, Wedding Point, and the public;
  • troubleshoot errors, measure service performance, improve features, and maintain platform reliability; and
  • comply with applicable law, lawful requests, and enforceable contractual obligations.

Depending on the situation, processing may be based on your consent, your request for a service or booking, compliance with law, or other uses permitted under applicable law.

6. When we share information

We may share only the information reasonably required for the following purposes:

  • Selected partners and service providers: venue owners, decorators, makeup professionals, photographers, entertainment providers, food providers, and other partners involved in fulfilling your booking.
  • Technology processors: hosting, database, storage, authentication, email, communications, security, analytics, and technical support providers working for us.
  • Payment services: banks, UPI or payment providers, and verification partners where a payment option requires their services.
  • Legal and safety recipients: courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, professional advisers, or other parties where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and platform security.
  • Business transfers: a successor or relevant adviser in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Wedding Point does not sell or rent your personal information. Partners who receive booking information may process it for fulfilling the booking and related support, subject to applicable law and their own responsibilities.

7. Cookies and browser storage

Wedding Point may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar browser technologies to keep you signed in, protect your session, preserve your cart and preferences, remember choices, and understand or troubleshoot application performance.

You can control browser storage through your browser settings. Blocking or clearing required storage may sign you out, remove local preferences, clear an unsubmitted cart, or prevent some features from working correctly.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Account and profile information is generally retained while your account remains active. Cart and operational records may be kept for a shorter period based on service needs.

After account deletion, some completed booking, payment, invoice, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, and support records may be retained where required or permitted by applicable law. Access to retained information is limited to the relevant purpose, and it is deleted or anonymised when retention is no longer necessary.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, authenticated requests, restricted administrative access, secure transport, monitoring, and backup practices.

No website, application, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Keep your password and device secure, do not share reset links or authentication codes, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account activity.

10. Your privacy choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and necessary identity verification, you may ask to:

  • access information about the personal data we process about you;
  • correct or update inaccurate or incomplete account information;
  • withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing;
  • request deletion of your customer account and eligible personal information; or
  • raise a privacy question or grievance about how your information is handled.

You can update available profile fields from your account settings. To exercise another request, email support@weddingpoint.in. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already completed before withdrawal and may prevent us from providing features that require that information.

11. Account deletion

You can request permanent deletion from the Wedding Point customer account settings or follow the instructions on our Account Deletion page. We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing the request.

Deletion removes or de-identifies eligible account information and cannot be reversed after completion. Information that must be retained for legal, financial, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes will be restricted and handled as described in the retention section.

12. Third-party services and links

Wedding Point may link to Google, payment services, maps, partner pages, social platforms, or other third-party services. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Review those policies before submitting information directly to a third party.

13. Processing and storage locations

Wedding Point operates from India. Our technology and service providers may process or store information in India or other locations where they operate. When information is processed across locations, we take reasonable steps intended to protect it and follow applicable data-transfer requirements.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, legal obligations, or data practices change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. If a change materially affects your rights or how we use personal information, we may provide an additional notice through the website, application, or your registered contact details where appropriate.
